Matt Bazely
Chairperson
Dr. Matt Bazely is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation program at Huron University. In this role, he designs and delivers programming focused on innovation, design thinking, and entrepreneurship.
He holds a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Western University, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Education from La Trobe University.
Dr. Bazely is a certified Design Thinking facilitator, a Lego Serious Play© facilitator, and a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) Co-Active Leadership Development Program. He also holds certificates in design thinking and innovation from Harvard University.
Before joining Huron, Dr. Bazely worked as a Management Consultant at Deloitte, specializing in strategy consulting. He also has over 10 years of experience in Western University’s Teacher Education and International Education programs. His diverse background in both academia and the private sector enriches his approach to innovation and entrepreneurship education.
In addition to his academic and professional work, Dr. Bazely serves as Board Chair for Builders for Change, where he has been actively involved in build projects and scholarship management over the past few years. He looks forward to continuing to support the important work of Builders for Change—one student and one build at a time.


Luke Bazely
Secretary
Luke is the CEO of Driverseat, an innovative ground transportation service provider with locations across Canada. Having built the business from the ground up, he has extensive experience as a leader, entrepreneur and franchisor.
Luke has a deep connection to the community and has a passion for championing the dreams of others. Having participated in two previous humanitarian build projects in the Dominican Republic, he has seen first hand how small actions can lead to life changing opportunities for those who need a hand up in life. Luke also previously sat on the board of directors for Habitat for Humanity in Simcoe County, a position that enabled him to support the affordable housing needs of the community.
As a charismatic thought leader, Luke is dedicated to fostering strong relationships, coaching other small business owners and sharing his knowledge and expertise freely.

Sab Sferrazza
director
Sab is retired from a 31 year career in management at London Health Science Centre Hospital. During that time he held various management positions. The last position held was as Director of Customer Support Services. Sab was responsible for 12 non-clinical departments ranging from food services, security and parking to name a few. Parking was an important revenue generator for the hospital. He was on the national Canadian Parking Association Board of Directors for a five year period representing the hospital sector of the association. He also served a two year term on the hospital Credit Union Board of Directors. Sab looks forward to making a contribution as board member of the Builders For Change organization.


Sandra Trainor
Marketing Lead
Sandra has more than twenty-five years of experience in the marketing and project coordination field. Her clients have included a variety of sectors covering tourism, food and farming, home building, community development and not-for-profit. She has organized award winning events where awareness has been raised supporting local food and local economies.
She currently writes a regular food/drink blog for an Ontario tourism association and she serves as a community volunteer with a citizens climate change awareness and mitigation group.
Sandra’s foundation in learning to juggle several projects and people at once, started in her 10-year career working in the criminal court system. It was there where she honed her communication and coordination skills with members of the judiciary, legal profession, police services and the public, in order to make efficient use of court resources in high volume situations.
Sandra’s educational and professional development background includes a lifelong learning approach. From post secondary school levels in Business Administration to numerous further learning opportunities over the years.
Sandra has had the opportunity and pleasure of volunteering in the Dominican Republic at two Builders For Change builds and is enthusiastic to serve on its board of directors and lend her hand in helping deserving students achieve their educational goals.
